Artist Sanjeev Maharjan

Sanjeev Maharjan

Sanjeev Maharjan is a freelance visual artist and a member of “Re-fuzed”--a group of young artists. He typically paints but also chooses to experiment with other forms of art. His inspiration for his paintings comes from his social surroundings. He chooses the images and then reflects those images on his paintings. He paints what he sees and how he sees the images. He graduated from the Kathmandu University Center for Art and Design in 2009. Since then, in addition to several group exhibitions and art projects, he had worked as an artist in residence at the Kathmandu Contemporary Arts Center for six months.  It culminated in a joint exhibition with another fellow artist in residence, Sunita Maharjan.
