Ganesh is always interesting theme in the Art and culture of Kathmandu valley since the ancient time. Ganesh is remover of the ostacle and a symbol of success. He is always worshiped first and the foremost. In Nepalese culture, the day of the people starts by worshiping the Ganesh. The dancing image is also one fo the popular positions of him. He is the som of Shiva(Nritesvara) the god of dance. Sometimes Ganesh is depicted in the wrathful aspects, but in this painting Ganesh's face is in happy mood. this form is litle rare as most of the images of Ganesh has four hands. In this paubha he has only two hands, on of which hold his favourite edible, radish and sweet balls (Laddus).
